Kian Egan has revealed his wife’s pregnancy has been “tougher” than the first one.

The Westlife star admitted that wife Jodi has been struggling more through her current pregnancy than her first with son Koa.

He said: “The first trimester was a little bit tougher this time around, she was a bit more fatigued and stuff like that but pretty much since hitting the second trimester she has been plain sailing again.”

The Sligo native also admitted he has his hands full at the minute and has taking over cooking duties while his wife relaxes.

“I’m cooking all the time, it’s crazy. I’m cooking five meals a day at this stage, three for him, two for her, whatever it may be.”

Kian also admitted he is not in any rush to begin recording another solo album and wants to focus on family for the foreseeable future.

He said: “At the moment, the baby is coming so I don’t want to commit to a new album. I want to make it properly.”

He added: “Sometimes you get rushed to make something so fast, you kind of go, ‘Yeah let’s do it, lets put it out’ and then you rush it.

“And then you kinda look back and go, ‘Maybe I should have gone a bit slower’ which is kind of how I feel about the first one.”

“Right now I’m kind of like, ‘Let’s just have the baby and slow down a bit’.

Speaking to fellow Westlife pal Nicky Byrne on 2FM, Kian also revealed that he has not seen much of his ex-bandmates since they split in 2012.

“I spoke to Mark just before Christmas actually, that was it. I haven’t spoken to Shane in a long time,” he admitted.

Nicky Byrne previously revealed he also has not kept in touch with the other Westlife members as they have ‘nothing to talk about.’
