RTE’s hit show returns to screens on January 4 2015, with the search for this year’s vocal talent starting in mid October when the filming of the Blind Auditions starts, followed by the Battles in November.

The Voice is back!

The nations hit T.V. format ‘The Voice of Ireland‘ is back for its fourth-consecutive year!

We are looking for new and undiscovered talent.
If you are over 18 and believe that you have a true vocal talent, we want you!

The three phase show focuses solely on the vocal talent of the singer. Age, gender and appearance don’t matter.
Phase one of the ‘blind auditions‘ allows you to perform to the back of four red chairs, occupied by four coaches, all established within the music industry. If they believe you have the talent to win the competition they will spin their chair to face you. If two coaches turn, the power falls into your hands, you choose whose team you want to join.

Phase two consists of the battle round. After being mentored and guided by your coach, you will perform against another member of your team. The added twist of the ‘steal‘ option allows other coaches to pick you for their team if you lose your battle.

Phase three is the live shows. The public tunes in to live and follow live twitter feeds, they have the power to vote and keep you in.

The winner gets a recording contract with Universal Ireland.

Coach Kian !!

Kian Egan

One quarter of the most successful boy band of the last decade, Kian was crowned King of the Jungle, winning 2013’s series of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here on ITV1.

2014 has so far seen the release of Kian’s debut solo album, Home, with Rhino UK part of Warner Music UK. The album features tracks from Kian’s personal playlist and debuted in the UK’s Top 10 Album Charts and went straight in at Number 2 in the Irish Album Charts after its release on 17th March.

Since returning to This Morning with a strand of films on West End Musicals and presenting a special Valentines in Vegas strand for Daybreak alongside his wife, Jodi Albert, Kian has started filming for the fourth series of The Voice of Ireland.

Kian grew up on the West Coast of Ireland and first walked on stage at the age of 4.  He learnt the piano, guitar and a whole host of instruments in his younger years, whilst looking up to his older brothers and dreaming of being on stage in a band.  Kian attended dance and drama school where he played parts in musicals such as Grease, Oliver, West Side Story and Annie. It was at school that he met his band mates Shane and Mark who also took part in school musicals alongside Kian and they formed the band now known as Westlife.

Westlife’s first big break came in 1998 when they opened for the Backstreet Boys’ concerts in Dublin. Their first single, Swear it Again, went straight to number one in the UK and their self-titled first album peaked at No.2 following its release in November 1999. The band’s second album, Coast to Coast, beat the Spice Girl’s Forever album and became the UK’s 4thbiggest selling album of 2000. Following the departure of their fifth member, the band continued to top the charts as a foursome and their comeback single “You Raise Me Up” was named Record of the Year in 2005. Back Home, the band’s ninth album debuted at No.1 in November 2007, however, their Back Home Tour was to be their last before a year long hiatus. During this year, Kian married long-term girlfriend Jodi Albert.
