Bringing it HOME: Kian Egan to sing debut single Home on The Voice of Ireland’s first live show

Former Westlife singer Kian Egan will have his first ever live solo performance this Sunday, when he performs his brand new single Home on The Voice of Ireland.

Kian, who is a judge on the show, will take to the stage following the live performances from the contestants to sing his new ballad.

Kian, 33, is releasing his debut album this week, and he tweeted his excitement: “Dear lord! my album is out on Friday in Ireland and Monday in the uk! How has this actually happened! #kiansdebutalbum #Home”
Kian is coaching Danica Holland, Jay Boland, Paddy Molloy, Laura O’Connor, Craig McMorrow and Pauric McLoughlin in the show, and he is eager to see one of them win.
Speaking about his acts in the show, Kian admits that he tries his hardest to be the best mentor possible:
 

• You just try your hardest to give them the best advice that you can, and to try and guide them through what can be a very tough industry. You hope that they come out the other end shining, and most of them do. Even if they don’t have a big, massive successful career they end up singing and having a career in music for the rest of their lives. And that’s whether it be wedding singers or country singers – whatever it may be. But most of my guys have done very well in Ireland.

Kian has been excitedly promoting this album across both Ireland and the UK, and he recently released the music video for Home, which features a cameo from his wife Jodi Albert and their son Koa.
In the video, the handsome Sligo man sports designer stubble and casual clothing for the laid-back ballad, where he sings lyrics such as “I’m going home, to the place where I belong.”
During the video, clips from Kian’s winning stint on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here play on the wall, as do pictures of Jodi and Koa.

While we doubt Kian will be sitting on a stool like in his Westlife days, we are sure his Voice performance won’t disappoint!

The Voice airs on RTE One on Sundays at 6.30pm.
