He won the nation's heart when he was crowned King Of The Jungle on much-loved ITV show, I'm A Celebrity... but Westlife star Kian Egan told MailOnline he had one unlikely fan.

In an exclusive interview about his brand new summer hit, I'll Be, the Irish heart throb talked about the time he met Prince Harry at his summer charity ball.

'It was a beautiful event and it felt very select,' Kian said. 'I went with my wife, Jodi [Albert] and we were lucky enough to be introduced to Prince Harry.

Unlikely fan: Prince Harry recently told Kian that he watched him on I'm A Celebrity....

'He said to me, "Ah, I've seen you in the jungle" and I just couldn't believe that he watched it and knew who I was.

'Jodi joked on Twitter that I was jealous of him but she was just messing around.'

Kian said his beautiful wife of five years often comes into his mind as he sings his new single, I'll Be, as the lyrics remind him of her.

'There's one line that goes "I'll be the biggest fan in your life" and I think that's really cool - because your wife and your family are the most important things in the world.'

The loved-up pair have recorded their first duet on Kian's latest album, Home, called I Run To You, which they sang together on talk show, This Morning on Monday.

The 34-year-old said that he wasn't sure at first if they should record together, saying: 'I didn't know if it would be a cheesy thing to do and then I decided not to worry about other people's opinions.'

The couple have a beautiful son together called Koa, 2, and it sounds as if they could be adding to their brood in the not too distant future.

'If I had my way, we would have a massive family,' Kian said.

'But Jodi balances me out, so we will probably meet in the middle and just have a medium-sized family,' he giggled.

'I would hope we could have that sorted out by Christmas if we're lucky enough.'

'It worked pretty quickly last time so we shall see.'
