'It's not that hard!' Jungle King Kian blasts Towie quitter Gemma
By JENNY MANNING
JUNGLE King Kian Egan has hit out at I'm a Celeb quitter Gemma Collins saying she should never have gone on the show in the first place.
The former Westlife singer, 34, last year's winner, also claimed that contrary to the Towie star's whingeing camp life "is not that hard".
Speaking on This Morning today, he blasted: "I personally feel that three days in - it’s not like she’s bored - and it’s not that hard.
"OK, the food is probably one of the biggest things you feel straight away, but after 3-4 days that gets relaxed.
"I assumed yesterday morning that she had to go into the bunker and deal with all these challenges.
"Then all of a sudden she’s in the nice camp and everyone is taking care of her, giving her food and she decides to walk!
"I just found it a bit odd. If Gemma felt that it wasn’t for her why did she do it in the first place?”
Boutique owner Gemma quit yesterday and later told The Sun she had been struggling to cope after splitting with boyfriend Alex Moss hours before flying to Australia.
In an exclusive interview from her hotel room, tearful Gemma said: “The jungle was harder than I ever expected, I am just not as strong as I thought I was.
“A personal and very serious incident that happened to me hours before I flew to Australia affected me in camp far more than I could have imagined and I just couldn’t carry on in there.
“It was my decision to go in regardless and I never expected not to complete my time in there. “I am so, so sorry that I have let people down, but I had to make the decision to walk away.”
