Kian Egan has revealed that he has followed his heart – just like the countless romantics before him – and taken wife Jodi Albert to Paris so they could publicly seal their love with a love lock token on the French capital’s Pont-Des-Arts.

It’s the grand gesture of Parisian romanticism to place an engraved padlock on the bridge, even if the authorities have warned that Jodi and Kian Egan love locks is one of the many that is structurally damaging the crossing. Earlier this year they cut away hundreds of locks to stop the locks distorting the bridge.
The accumulation of locks on the mesh panels on the sides of the bridges weakens the heritage by distorting the railings. Today, however, the phenomenon has become so widespread that the weight of the locks, undoubtedly several tons, is beginning to pose real problems for safety.
It’s not stopped Kian though telling fans on his Facebook page: ‘This year for my lovely wife’s birthday I took her to Paris.. Our love locked on Love lock bridge.’
The couple even included a love lock for son Koa alongside their own token of affection.
Earlier, Jodi had posted this picture of herself to Instagram followers with some wondering why so glum.
But hours later she was at the TV Choice awards with Kian on Monday where the show he won last year, I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here picked up a gong for best reality show.
Looking sharp in a navy suit and black buttoned down top, Kian and wife Jodi Albert attended the glitzy ceremony with a host of telly favourites at the London bash.
The show caught the public’s imagination and X-Factor’s Simon Cowell said it would propel Kian to telly stardom.
