The Voice of Ireland coach, 34, said that the band rarely see each other
as they’re all busy concentrating on their respective careers.
He said: “We haven’t seen an awful lot of each other since the end of the band,
but we’re all still kind of friendly, and in contact with each other. Everybody is just doing their own thing.”
The group was originally made up of Kian, Shane Filan, Mark Feehily, Nicky Byrne and
Brian McFadden, who quit in 2004.
The remaining four members continued to perform together until 2012
when they played their final gigs at Croke Park.
Now Kian reckons they’re all happier to be focusing their attentions elsewhere.
He said: “We’ve got to move on and do other things with our lives...right now,
it’s all about living without Westlife, and learning to live without Westlife.”
However, Kian didn’t totally disregard the notion of a reunion in the future
“whether we’ll visit it at another time in life, further down the road, I don’t know”.
Kian was speaking to Neil Delamere on Today FM from his home in the UK,
where he and wife Jodi are awaiting the birth of their second child in a few weeks time.
