Kian's so busy he's double-jobbing
WESTLIFE's Kian Egan will be double-jobbing this weekend, with stints on two major TV shows.
The ambitious I'm a Celebrity star has signed up to perform on prime-time show Ant 'N' Dec's Saturday Night in London.
He will be joining forces with the band from The Commitments musical to blast out a track from his debut solo album, Home, which is due for release in Ireland tomorrow and in the UK on St Patrick's Day.
FLYING
Fresh from his appearance on the programme, he will be hopping on a plane and flying back to appear on RTE's The Voice of Ireland.
This Sunday, Egan (33) will take to the stage in Dublin's Helix to perform a song from his new album for Irish audiences.
The married dad has been tipped to make an estimated €1m in the wake of winning I'm A Celebrity, and he is clearly keen to make the most of his opportunities.
He has had a string of TV and radio appearances since emerging victorious from the jungle as well as a number of magazine deals.
"Music is my first love, and to be able to get in the studio to record these amazing songs by such wonderful writers is such a thrill and an honour for me," he said of his solo debut.
He has also duetted for the first time with his wife, Jodi Albert, on a song called I Run To You. The album will contain tracks personal to him, but will also introduce fans to some of his favourite songs, which he has put his own spin on.
RELEASED
It will be released through the Rhino UK label and produced by Brian Rawling who helped deliver hits for Kylie Minogue and One Direction.
Egan is not the only Westlifer to land a solo deal.
Former bandmate Shane Filan also put out his own album and is due to perform in the Olympia Theatre tonight, while 2fm's latest signing Nicky Byrne is also working on his own material.
