The Westlife singer treated her to a lot of Chanel to help cheer her up

Westlife star Kian Egan has jetted his wife Jodi Albert for a luxury birthday in Paris – after the stress of her mum’s cancer.

The former Wonderland singer has been emotionally hit after her mother Eileen was taken back into hospital after her cancer flared up again.

But Kian made sure that was far from her mind – as she celebrated her belated 31st birthday in the French city of love.

The I’m A Celebrity champion took her to Chanel to pick out a gift, and delighted Jodi said: “Paris for my birthday with my love.”

Fans have continued to tell the star – who is married to Westlife’s Kian Egan – that they are praying for her.

Last week, a source told Goss.ie that Jodi was “devastated” by the news about her mum.

They said: “Jodi is absolutely devastated. She’s been through so much already. Her mum was found to have cancer back in 2009 and they thought she was doing a lot better.

“She just wants to be there for Eileen and do what she can. She’s heartbroken, it’s horrible to see her mum go through everything again.”

Eileen was hit with cancer back in 2009, but a year later son-in-law Kian was positive the chemotherapy was working.

Last year Westlife star Kian said that Eileen was “doing quite well now” after “battling cancer for the last year” and it was believed she was over the worse.
